The Caribbean Associations and organizations of Calgary come together to celebrate Caribbean Black History. This annual event allows us to acknowledge the accomplishments of people of African and Caribbean descent, build strong and inclusive relationships in our communities as we continue to create awareness of the storied lives, experiences, and contributions of our ancestors.
Canada Summer Jobs 2022
Haiti Alberta Sports et/and Culture Club hired 4 students through the Canada Summer Jobs initiative. We created quality jobs for young Canadians while helping them plan their careers.
Caribbean Heritage Sports Competition
Caribbean Heritage Sports Competition celebrates pride in shared heritage through sports, brings the Caribbean community and the community at large together and promotes an active and healthy community. Events made for all ages include Basketball, Cricket, Dominoes, Netball, Soccer Track and Field, Lime and Spoon and Volleyball.
Caribbean Youth Summit
A youth summit designed to educate and empower a diverse group of Calgary's students to be conducted annually. Several Caribbean associations and organizations have pledged volunteer assistance and financial support to assist in planning, coordinating, and hosting this event.
Celebration & Commemorate 2023
This project was to celebrate frontline workers and members of the community as they share their experience about the pandemic. Past, Present and Future: How the Pandemic Has Shaped My life.
Festival D Hiver Franco WINTERFEST CALGARY 2023
The festivities revolve around family values, accompanied by folkloric musical presentations in support of Quebec, Franco-Albertan, African, and Aboriginal traditions, as well as a mini « Galala » that will lead us to the discovery of young emerging artists from Francophone and immersion schools.
The festival offers various activities for families including a Children’s Village, a youth center, and an exhibitors’ market with some cultural interactive activities indoors. Sports games are offered outdoors, although.
Maple taffy on snow will be part of the event as well as other surprise activities that will introduce traditions from different francophone countries around the world.
Finding Your Roots, July 2023
Our initiative is an innovative one-of-a-kind mini museum presentation of 13 Caribbean countries’ history. We explore our journey and our Caribbean Indigenous roots, differences, and similarities through the theme “Finding Your Roots”.

Recreational Sports Activities 2023
HASCC Offers recreational Sports activities throughout the year. Soccer, Track and field and Basketball. A Tennis Clinic was also offers this year.
